A Drone Opera (2015 – 2020)

Matthew Sleeth’s ‘A Drone Opera’ is a poetic exploration of the reality of constant surveillance and our love affair with technology. This five-year project, produced by Experimenta, navigates diverse presentation conventions and audiences, with this new presentation being a virtual platform comprising of the Short Film’ A Drone Opera’, and research material from previous presentations. The project is driven by the artist’s interest in hybrid practice, through the lens of his exploration into the growing interdependence of our analogue and digital worlds.
